NearMed Management Team
Tom Bailey, co-founder and Chief Operating
Officer
Tom is the president, COO and co-founder of NearMed. His
primary goal is to define, communicate and manage the company vision,
while ensuring successful delivery of value-based solutions to the healthcare
market.
Prior to NearMed, Tom was the vice president of
product development for Baker Hill where he was responsible for product
strategy, product development and enterprise delivery. He led the development
of an ASP-based credit origination solution used by over 300 financial
institutions and over 15,000 users. For more than six years, Tom was
a member of the executive team that generated 25% year over year growth
during that period.
Prior to Baker Hill, Tom was the vice president
of consulting services for Profound Consulting, a company focused on
delivering custom software development projects. During his seven years
with Profound, he grew the consulting staff from 15 to over 65 software
engineers. Prior to Profound Consulting, Tom spent 7 years at General
Motors as an Automation Engineer and 2 years at General Electric as
a manufacturing engineer. Tom
has an Industrial Engineering degree and a Business degree from the University
of Cincinnati.
Brad Bostic, co-founder and Managing Director
Brad
is the Managing Director and co-founder of NearMed. In 1997, Brad founded
Bostech Corporation as a custom software development and consulting company. In 2001, he transformed Bostech into an enterprise integration
software provider through a strategic acquisition of technology installed
in more than 2,000 companies around the globe. Bostech’s technology
has since become one of the most widely embedded integration engines in
the retail, healthcare and energy markets.
Brad is also the founder of NearSource, an Information Technology outsourcing
business that provides services to world-class companies
including Dell, Fair Isaac and GE Capital. NearSource builds
on over a decade of expertise in both small and large scale software development
initiatives with a specific focus on web-enabled application development
and dynamic, data-driven content publishing solutions. Brad is a graduate
of Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
Shyam Desigan, co-founder and Chief Financial
Officer
Shyam is the CFO and co-founder of NearMed. He has extensive
project finance, strategic planning and business development experience
in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining NearMed, Shyam successfully
raised $10 million from a group of physicians and arranged a $30 million
real estate fund for the development of a new physician owned community
hospital.
From 2002 to 2005, Shyam was the CFO for 8 Pain
Centers where he restructured financial practices and operations to
become highly profitable. Prior to that, he led a team in establishing
a market presence for an Indian-based pharmaceutical company in a new
market throughout Eastern Europe. Shyam has a Bachelor of Science degree
in Engineering and a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance
from Indiana University’s Kelley
School of Business.
Alan Bialek, Vice President Business Development
Alan
is the Vice President of Business Development for NearMed. Alan’s
primary responsibility is developing new business partnerships with radiology
departments and imaging centers.
Alan began his career at Cook Incorporated, where
he spent almost twenty years. During his tenure at Cook he held positions
of District Manager, Regional Manager and National Accounts Manager. Alan
was part of the management team that was responsible for the market introduction
for the first FDA approved coronary stent.
Before coming to NearMed , Alan was Director of
Sales and Marketing for Promex Technologies where he was responsible
for all sales and marketing activities. Alan’s primary focus was the development of a
sales department for Promex’s first direct sales division, Dextera
Surgical.
Prior to Promex Technologies Alan was Vice President
of Sales for Alsius Corporation. At Alsius, Alan was very successful in developing international
sales channels for Alsius’s pioneering intravascular temperature
control technology.
Alan has a clinical degree in Radiology Technology
from UCLA.
Jeremy Hough, Director,
Technical Services
Jeremy
is the Director of Technical Services for NearMed. His primary
role includes the integration of existing hospital networks with the NearMed
network. Jeremy is also responsible for the setup of the NearMed
solutions as well as the training of staff and physicians for those solutions.
Previous to employment at NearMed, Jeremy worked
for six years as the Chief Information Officer for a large radiology
group in the Indianapolis area. He played an integral part in
growing that practice by implementing systems and infrastructure which
allowed the radiologists to be more efficient.
Jeremy received his bachelor’s degree in Public Health from Indiana
University in Bloomington. He also received a master’s degree
in Health Administration from Indiana University, Indianapolis and a master’s
degree in Business Administration from the University of Indianapolis.
Chris Warren Director, Strategic Alliances
Chris
is responsible for identifying, developing and managing key strategic
alliances for NearMed. His primary task is to build business value
for NearMed and its strategic partners.
Prior to joining NearMed, Chris spent 6 years
managing sales, marketing and alliances for Ramsay Business Solutions. He
also created a network services division and was responsible for establishing
industry alliances with several large information technology corporations.
During his tenure with Ramsay Business Solutions,
Chris created and directed a custom web development company. Webaxis
was one of the first companies to develop technology that allowed novice
individuals to customize and change web content through a graphical
user interface.
Chris graduated from Indiana University with a
Bachelors Degree in Public Financial Management.
